TACA Rink Announcement

Rink Announcement - Looking for Volunteers & Staff
Residents may have noticed that the City of Ottawa has installed the rink boards next to the Community Building this past week, which means that our winter programming is just around the corner. Each year, TACA works very hard to keep our ice rink open seven days a week, and we’re always looking for members of our community to get involved. We are presently recruiting for two positions.

Rink Attendant is a paid position open to local youths and young adults who sign up for weekly shifts to supervise the rink and rink activities. Minimum age is 15 years old, and Rink Attendants must be good skaters. Physical activity is involved, and shifts may include weekend and night time hours.

Rink Volunteer is a non-paid position, open to local parents and other adults. Each volunteer is normally assigned to a two-person team and assigned one shift per week. Rink Volunteers are responsible for maintaining the ice surface quality. Physical activity is involved, and shifts take place during night time hours.

Those who participated in previous years are welcome to return this year, and we will actively be recruiting new participants as well. All interested persons should contact Rink Coordinator / TACA Executive Member Sean Devine at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
